"Err, I'll try this way? Is this west?" The half-rabbit looks around. "...I can't even tell, the canopy's so
thick there's barely any sunlight peeking through. Well, let's see where this goes, then."
Doug walked in the direction he believed was west for a little while, feeling the forest dirt between his
feet. He still had humanlike feet for now, though his toenails seemed to have sharpened themselves into small
claws.
The dark forest's scenery seemed to remain unchanged for a while, when Doug spots a break in the trees.
"Oh! I hope there's a town... Wait, if there is, are the other townspeople still people? Or would they be part
animal like me...?" The thought of being an outcast suddenly brought worry into Doug's chest. He didn't want
to be an outcast, again, like he used to be during school. Though, this time, instead of being picked on for
being a loner, he'd be picked on for being some kind of humanoid freak...
Doug felt his pace slow down as these thoughts ran through his mind.
"M-maybe I'll try going anyways. At least, to see how the village is like, if there is one." He nodded to
himself and tried to steel himself. The half-rabbit walks into the light, and sees a meadow on the other side.
The long grassy fields rolled in the winds, almost like water rippling on the sea. Doug marveled at this
sight, never seeing something like this before. The meadow seemed to stretch on for miles into the distance,
with the bright sun shining overhead and very few trees dotting the plains.
Doug noticed he was still on what seems to be a manmade dirt path, so this has to lead to civilization
somewhere... right?
"Should I keep going down this path...? Or maybe lay down in the grass for a little bit? It looks nice and
soft..." Doug talked to himself, unsure of what he should do next.
