Marina spotted her boat easily, having surfaced close by. She swam over to it and realized she would need to use both hands to pull herself onboard. She tossed the medallion onto some of her gear.
She got aboard without much difficulty. Marina had found that getting back aboard with a monofin was a little more difficult than with her old flippers, but she managed. Removing her tank and mask, she flopped down in the boat. Marina took a moment to rest and enjoy the light sea breeze before attempting to remove her fin and wetsuit.
Looking at the strange medallion next to her she again wonder about its origin. Maybe once she was back at her hotel some research would turn up an answer. She removed her monofin and stripped off her wetsuit, revealing her athletic swimmers body now clad only in a modest two-piece swimsuit.
The boat ride back to the dock was uneventful. After returning the rented boat, she returned to her hotel room and hung her wetsuit to dry. Sitting down at her laptop with the medallion, Marina began searching the internet and databases from her college. Nothing seemed to match: not Egyptian, Phonecian, Aztec, Mayan, Incan, Spanish, Roman, Greek, Chinese...
After several hours, Marina decieded to take a break. She could try again tomorrow to make sense of the medallion. In the meantime, she decieded to...
