You give Jean a hand up and help her back up to her feet, but almost immediately she nearly falls to the ground.
"Whoa, you alright?"
"Yeah, it's just... just got to get my shoe on. You go on ahead, I'll catch up in a sec."
--Jean's POV--
You feel it best not to worry him about what's probably just a little sprain or something, but while he jogs on ahead, you kneel down to look for yourself as to what just what caused your stumble. You're surprised to see blotches of black latex, shaped roughly like slug that was there. At first you're worried as to what it could mean, but then you think of something else: what about Mark? If he finds out, he might think you're going to attack him. Worse, he might think you already will. Besides, it's just a few little blotch. It's no big deal, you can handle it.
"Hey, you coming?" You look up to see Mark standing above you, and quickly pull down your pantleg to conceal the mark.
"Yeah, I'm good."
And with that you start going
Rising to your feet, you find them stable. The ankle feels a bit strange, and that's probably what made you stumble before, but it only takes a few seconds before you aren't noticing it anymore and the two of you can get on with dealing with the problem at hand.
