"Hmm, maybe if I climb the trees, I can find something..." The half-rabbit thought aloud. "I'll probably get
lost if I wander around in this place, anyways."
Doug looks around, trying to find a tree that looks climbable. Most of the trees in this forest seemed like
their branches reached endlessly into the dark skies above--Doug wondered how far he'd have to climb before he
would reach the sunlight up above. He noticed one tree with a couple of thick vines hanging down, and tried
climbing that one.
"O-oof... I forgot how I haven't climbed a tree in a while..." The half-rabbit muttered, remembering the days
of his youth where he would always be in the trees. Nowadays, since he has gotten older and had less time for
those types of things, his body is much less used to tree climbing. Even now, with his half-rabbit form, it
didn't seem to help much. Rabbits aren't very good climbers in the first place, anyways.
Doug meandered through the vines and tree branches, heading upwards. He felt like it must have taken forever,
since most of the scenery as he climbed was just branch, vine, and the occasional strange insect, one right
after the other.
Finally, Doug noticed the canopy getting... smokier? He paused his climbing escapades and looked around. The
branches seemed to be getting wrapped in some strange fog... His visibility was diminishing with all this
smoke obscuring everything. Doug became a little hesitant in his climb after this, but figured that he
shouldn't back down now since he's all the way up here. He continued his climb.
