"BE ADVISED THERE IS A PRICE. YOU MUST PAY AFTER I RESTORE YOUR FORM. YOU WILL BECOME MY SERVANT. YOU WILL CHANGE HUMANS INTO CHICKENS WITH YOUR EGGS. FOR EACH TRANSFORMATION I WILL CHANGE PART OF YOU BACK."
"DECIDE NOW."
You stop to think for a moment. Selling out your fellow humans? Is it OK for you to change people into giant chickens just to restore yourself? You'd be putting them in the same situation you are trying to get out of. On the other hand, as a human, you might be able to fight this menace more effectively. Even so, how many humans will it take to become human again?
As you think, you find yourself pecking at the dirt with your beak, absently looking for food. You find a few seeds and suck them into your mouth before you realize what you've just done.
The matter is settled. In your mind, you yell. "I accept! Return my head!"
The Alien Latex Space Egg glows and vibrates. You can feel your form changing once again. You catch your reflection in a nearby puddle. The transformation begins at the base of your neck as your collarbone juts out from the flattening chicken breast. Your elongated neck thins out, but remains a bit long. Feathers drop. A human chin juts out from your beak, which softens into a pair of flexible (though yellow) human lips.
The inside of your mouth is also changing. Your gums re-form as your teeth poke painfully through them. Your nose bumps up from the front of your flat chicken face. Human ears morph out from the sides of your head as more feathers lose their place on your rounding skull.
"My eyes!" you manage your first words in what seems like days. Your eyes widen and shift back to the front of your head. Although your skin is still bone-white, you once again have the head of a human. Your hair pokes back through your bald white scalp.
Your smile turns to a frown as you remember the Space Egg's bargain. Still possessing the body of a chicken, you waddle forward to address the alien entity...
Suddenly, you hear voices on the other side of the bushes from where you came. Human voices. Could they be investigating the recent strange sightings? You lay low for a few minutes, hoping they'll go away. The Space Egg remains silent.
You whisper to the entity. "I've never laid an egg before. How exactly is this going to work?"
Before it can answer, (or perhaps as an answer), you feel a surge of pressure building up in your stomach. Then everything happens all at once.
"Wha- what's going on?" you yell, terrified. A pair of footsteps doubles back around from beyond the tall bushes. Somebody's heard you.
"Hello?" a girl, about 17, stomps into the clearing, but stops, stunned at what she sees.
"No, you have to get out of here!" you cry, wings flapping uselessly. Your chicken body moves involuntarily, and you aim your large rear end in her direction. The pressure is released as you shoot a latex egg at her torso.
A direct hit. She screams as the egg breaks latex all over her tube top, covering it and her arms. Changing her body into the body of a chicken. White feathers sprout from the latex. She flaps her arms as they begin to change. Fingers fuse together. Her arms reverse with a sickening pop. She can no longer hold them up to her face. Her wings are forced to her sides as her breasts become engulfed with feathers.
The pressure builds within you again. You know what you must do to restore yourself. Grimly. you take aim and hit her again on the legs. It doesn't take long before her claws rip through her shoes, leaving her scratching against the forest floor.
You are actually beginning to enjoy this. What is happening to you? You smile! You actually smile this time as you lob the final blow directly at her face. Liquid latex explodes into her screaming mouth as she is transformed fully into a large white chicken.
You don't know how you can tell, but the Space Egg is pleased with you. The poor girl, now a hysterical four-and-a-half foot tall chicken, takes off in the opposite direction, running for her life. You know she can still think and feel as a human, because until about an hour ago, YOU were in the same situation. And now that girl is a chicken, because of YOU.
But- you don't care. You think you like your new job... No! What is happening? You shake your head, confused, as the Space Egg gives you your mission.
"CHANGE HUMANS. IN DOING SO YOU MAY BECOME HUMAN AGAIN. EVENTUALLY."
As if to offer proof, your right wingtip morphs into a hand, but almost immediately reverts to a chicken wing.
"DEFY ME AND REMAIN A CHICKEN. NOW GO."
Left with no choice, you scratch at the stony ground and head off towards town, your unfamiliar chicken body swaying with every step.
