Some Witness

added by AdobeFats 20 years ago A

Ambrose stood waiting for the professor to reappear from his study in the bathroom. He shook his head at the notion of putting a big Mutt on the stand to growl and bark at questions put to him by the D.A. "They're gon'a lock me up! he said to himself softly.

After a half hour the bathroom door was still closed and Ambrose stepped over to check if was locked. No, it wasn't and opening in slowly he peered into the room. "Gone!" The Professor had slipped out of the bathroom when maybe he was helping the big Mutt out to the car.

Suddenly a scream and some words which sounded like Schneller's voice yelling. Ambrose headed for the front door and then stopped to look and laugh.

Like a good Policeman, Ken had his canine teeth buried into the seat of Schneller's pants. Growling and holding him from running the dog stood his ground. A group of residents were gathering to watch the nasty ole' Professor get his due from the big dog. Ken kept holding on and growling through his teeth as Schneller swatted at the dog and cursed.

"Good boy!' said Ambrose as he came out of the Professor's apartment. Walking close to the caught man Ambrose slipped on him a pair of handcuffs with a grin. "I know some of what happened, care to fill in the spaces Professor?" asked Ambrose.

As he placed Professor Schneller into the rear seat of his vehicle Ambrose turned to the calm and waiting Dog. "You want to ride in back and keep the prisoner company Cosby?" asked Ambrose.

In a bound the big dog jumped inside and sat on the seat giving a cold canine stare at Schneller. "You can't leave me back here with this crazy animal, he'll kill me!" begged Schneller.

Sitting into the vehicle Ambrose looked in the rear view mirror and smiled. "You have some additional facts I'm listening now, we get to the station and it's out of my hands Prof!" said Ambrose.

"Questions? Ask your damn question and then let me go!" demanded Schneller.

Closing the car door for privacy, Ambrose asked a very direct and probing question. "Tell me wasn't the dog, officer Kenneth Cosby when you entered the Fuller residence?"

Schneller sat there for a minute without answering as his dogged friend placed his muzzle into Schneller's crotch and began to growl.

"Yes, damn it yes! The dog was your officer before he put the silver necklace on! We talked about him being rather kingly, it was him who said he wasn't kingly but was like a junk yard dog. He then started to change into his present form, so I took him home! I remembered the no pet rule when I drove into the condo complex and was then saddled with this dumb animal for the night. I planned to take him to the dog pound and have him put down or sold, I don't want him!" confessed Schneller.

Growls came from the rear seat and then Schneller screamed of pain. Ambrose reached over the sea to get a good look only to see his dogged' Officer clamp down his sharp teeth into Schneller's crotch.

"I guess you understand his answer, right Prof!" laughed Ambrose as he started the car.

As Schneller calmed down and the big dog returned to sitting next to his pain ridden catch, Ambrose asked, "Where is the jewelry Schneller?"

"I got scared, had no use for using it on myself! I flushed it down the toilet, it's gone!" replied Schneller.

With his statement even the big dog knew his life as a dog was going to be permanent. Snarreling and growling the dog leaned forward to press his wet black lips to Schneller's face.

"I don't think he respects you Schneller!" said Ambrose with a smile. Starting the car he backed out as Schneller began to yell. "Hey, you said if I told you about your friend here I'd go free!"

"I asked if you would answer some questions before we got to the station, you just did and now we are going to the station. I'll charge you with tampering evidence, the Judge will let you off easy! Then you go back to your life as my Officer begins his new life, I suggest you be quiet and hope he doesn't tear your throat out for being a jerk!" replied Ambrose.

At the Police Station Schneller was booked and jailed. Ambrose returned to his vehicle only to see the big dog gone from the car. Looking around he saw three Policemen watching something over the sidewalk railing. Peering over their shoulders he saw the big junk yard dog humped over the back of a stray Irish Wolfhound. Humping and pumping he looked up and saw Ambrose.

"Ah Woof!"
