"You can ask me this time, Liz" Jamie was surprised to find herself excited to try the magic out. "Make it
something really cool this time, and I want to remember it!"
"Okay," Liz thought for a moment. "Jamie, transform or dare?"
Practically trembling in anticipation, Jamie blurted "Transform!"
"For your transformation Jamie, you'll grow huge white angel's wings able to support your weight and allowing
you to fly like a bird!"
Jamie broke into a huge smile, throwing herself at Liz and hugging her friend tightly. "Thank you! If this
works, it's going to be so amazing!" Even as she expressed her gratitude, she could feel a tingling between
her shoulders, quickly turning into an itching. Releasing Liz, she tried to reach behind herself to scratch,
knowing that her wings should sprout right where it itched. Twisting around, she craned her neck to see over
her shoulder as she asked her friends what was happening.
"It looks all bulgy," Liz observed. "Like when Jenn's tail sprouted, but there are two nubs growing... they
seem to be growing more under your skin than Jennifer's did though."
The itching was quickly becoming uncomfortable, and Jamie let out a moan as she felt an intense pressure under
the skin on her upper back. "Ahh... oh, man, guys, are they out yet? I feel like my back is going to split in
haaaalf!" she groaned as she felt her new appendages writhe and twist, confined beneath her skin.
Bending forward and wrapping her arms across her chest, Jamie hugged herself when suddenly she felt a terrible
ri-i-i-pping, tearing her back open as pain seared her nerves, but it was accompanied by an almost
simultaneous release of pressure as her wings were freed. The combination left her gasping for breath as
tears streamed down her face.
Trish and Liz gasped, watching in awe as Jamie's new wings flexed and fluffed, long, white feathers sprouting
and growing as her wingspan increased before their eyes!
"They're... they're beautiful!" Trish exclaimed, envy written all over her face.
Jamie gathered herself, straightening and wobbling a bit, unaccustomed to balancing upright with two new
appendages each nearly twice her size. Unconsciously spreading them to the sides, she curled them forwards
and gasped as well, astounded at the extraordinary beauty of her shimmering wings. Each feather was a
pearlescent white that glimmered as they rippled in the breeze.
Laughing with delight, she flexed them outward again, giving only two strong flaps before leaping into the air
with a shout!
