"Hey moron."
Cal's eyes opened. He was drifting in a sea of a sticky, thick brown substance. Cal stuck his finger in the
substance to taste it, and realized it was caramel.
"Still not paying attention?"
Cal looked around. There was no one there.
"Under the sugar ya moron."
Cal dove into the caramel. Or at least, he tried. The sugary substance had gotten him stuck in place.
"Oh fine. I'll come to you."
Suddenly, a pillar of caramel shot up. From inside it emerged a brown haired woman in an orange dress. She had
a handful of gold jewelry, including a crown.
"Do I know you?" Cal asked.
"I'm Princess Daisy! Why doesn't anyone know who I am? I'm just as cool as Peach, and I don't get captured
every ten minutes." Daisy said, pouting.
"Um, sorry. Why are you here?" Cal asked.
"Because you're tripping balls." Daisy said, matter-of-factly.
"So that dart-" Cal started.
"It brought out me. Yeah, it turns out I'm your spirit animal. Lucky you." Daisy said.
"But, you aren't an animal." Cal pointed out.
"And you aren't really a sexed up cheerleader." Daisy said, pointing at Cal's chest. Looking down, Cal saw
that he still looked like a cheerleader.
"What? But this is inside my mind. Why do I still look like that?" Cal asked.
"Who cares? All I know is, I'm here to motivate you." Daisy said. The two stared at each other for a moment.
"Well?" Cal asked.
"I said I'm here to do that, not that I actually will." Daisy said.
"Well, this is enough to convince me to never get high again." Cal said.
"But you have to." Daisy said.
"OK, seriously? That's your advice? You're the worst spirit animal ever!" Cal said.
"No, I mean you have to risk it. You have to take down that psycho guy." Daisy said.
"Why the hell would I do that?" Cal asked.
"Because if you don't, one of the others will win. And let's face it, it won't be Gabe. Since you don't like
any of the others, you have to win." Daisy said.
"I don't know, Logan seems OK." Cal said.
"But he's only one of three. That means there's a thirty-ish percent chance that someone you tolerate, not
like, just tolerate, will win. It's either you, or Rebeca and Will." Daisy said.
"You've got me convinced. There's just one problem." Cal said.
"How you get out of here?" Daisy suggested.
"Exactly." Cal said.
"Yeah, about that, I don't know how to do that. Or if you're still in the game." Daisy said.
"What?" Cal shouted.
"How would I know? Everything is just caramel in here. Nothing about whether or not you're actually alive or
not." Daisy said.
"Worst. Spirit animal. Ever." Cal snarled.
