As soon as the gang walked in, they immediately found the Khaki Barn mobbed with customers. Many of them were changed women, still wearing their ill-fitting male clothes. All three of the blonde Clones (as Nikki called them) were stuck working the cash, slowly wading through a sea of frenzied shoppers. Chrissy spotted Nikki and called out to her.
"Nikki! Help us! These shoppers are out of control! Our entire girls' stock is, like, completely gone!"
"So why not just start selling them stuff from the boys' line?"
"Because, Nikki, they aren't guys. They're all girls!" Kirsten spoke up.
"Yeah, come to think of it, I haven't seen any boys come in at all since this morning." Kristen added.
Caitlin, meanwhile, stood pointing out the various boys that she had dates since starting work at the mall, uncannily pointing out each one, in spite of their reversed genders.
"Hey, there's Brendon. Though I think that should probably be Brenda now. And Connor. Maybe Connie? And hey, isn't that Billy? Though I bet he's probably spelling it with an I-E now, like that Billie Piper chick-"
"Come on, let's just go to Albatross."
But the Albatross and Finch mob was even more enormous than the one at the Khaki Barn. It didn't help that the Greeter Gods, once chiseled and shirtless men, had still remained shirtless after the Switch. They were still pretty Amazonian, but the effect lost a little something as they stood there with their hands clasped over their new breasts.
All six friends found their eyes straying to those lovely lady lumps. The three born-girls admitted that it felt weird.
Rather than waste any more time in a fruitless search, the group turned and went in search of another clothing store. Just then, Caitlin ran into someone. It was someone very familiar, with a fluffy brown ponytail, who had been causing trouble for their group for quite some time.
"Tricia!"
Tricia and Caitlin, her former stuck-up shopper friend, met each other's eyes. Tricia suddenly blushed and tried to play it cool.
"Caitlin. Still working over at the Big Squeeze?"
"You know I am."
"You still have my phone number?"
"No, I deleted it after you ditched me for getting a job at The Lemon, remember?"
Tricia scribbled something down on a scrap of paper.
"Okay, well, here it is again, in case you ever, I dunno, want to go out for coffee sometime?"
She handed it to Caitlin, who accepted it in shock. Tricia then beat a hasty retreat.
"Later, Lemon Head."
Jen could only stand in shock for a few seconds before stating the obvious.
"What. Was. That?"
Caitlin was still pretty shocked herself.
"Yeah, I've never seen Trish act like that before. And did she always used to be so...hot?"
Nikki facepalmed herself. "Here we go. Looks like Caitlin's after all the girls, now."
Jen giggled. "She's not the only one. Did you see the new Greeter Gods back there? Whoo." She fanned herself for a few seconds before realizing what she was saying.
"Was I just getting all worked up over another girl?"
Jonesy placed a comforting hand on her step-sister's shoulder.
"Welcome to the club, step-sis."
She hastily had to pull her hand away to pick up the slack of her pants.
"But can we talk about this later? I am seriously needing something to wear. Even my underwear is way too big for me now."
"Hey, look: there's a news report!"
Onscreen at the Stereo Shack, a blonde anchorwoman sat in her newschair, struggling vainly to continue wearing her oversized mens' suit.
"Good evening, everyone. As you can see, I was once Brian Stipple, your...man on the hour. But I am no longer exactly myself. At precisely 11:01 PM today, some sort of massive wave ripped through Canada, transforming everyone it came in contact with into females. Reports are continuing to flood in from all over the globe that this phenomenon has continued and is continuing to happen. It now appears as though most, if not all of humanity has been transformed into the female gender. Scientists are currently unsure as to what this means for the longevity of the human race. But, so far, their seem to have been no further detrimental effects. In the meantime, it looks like we're all just going to have to get used to it. This has been Brianna Stipple, signing off."
Nikki smiled wickedly as something occurred to her.
"Well, you heard the...man? While we're all stuck like this, we may as well have fun with it. So which of you ladies is up for a little bra shopping?"
