They sat back down on the couch and finished the rest of their movie. Toward the end, Kel started to yawn loudly; his head started to bounce up and down as he tried to keep himself awake.But no matter how hard he tried, Kel always got tired around 10:00, unable to stay up much later than that. Jake, of course, knew this, and it ruined his plans a little. He originally was going to stay up later and do homework, but considering he and Kel depended on each other for walking, he knew that he would have to turn in as well or risk being stuck on the couch all night. Turning the TV off with the remote, Jake said, "Guess it's time for us to head for bed."
Kel nodded, too tired to say anything. They walked upstairs to their bathroom, brushed their teeth, and walked back into the hallway. The hallway split into a T, each way leading to their own bed room. Instinctively, both tried walking to their room. Looking back at Jake, Kel yawned, "Sorry Jake, I forgot about... us. Where are we going to sleep?" He looked up and down their body as he said it.
Jake, yawning now himself, replied "It doesn't matter to me. Let's just go and sleep in your room tonight." Kel nodded again, and they walked into his room. Kel was too tired to change into PJs so they just slipped right into bed. As soon as Kel's head hit the pillow, he was out; Jake fell asleep soon after.
During the later hours of the night, Jake and Kel's parent's, Karen and James, came back home from a party. Slipping upstairs quietly, they stopped at Kel's room. They were surprised to see Jake in there too, or at least his head. Jake and Kel's body was covered up, so they could only see their heads. "Awww... how cute." Karen whispered. "They must have watched a scary movie."
"Lets not disturb them Karen." James said, placing his hand on his wife's shoulder. Karen though, quietly slipped into the room and kissed her sons on the forehead. When Karen backed away, she paused for a moment. It almost looked like... the outline of only one body under the covers, but they were both in the same bed. She gripped the covers with one hand, about ready to lift up and just check when James came up behind her and said, "Come one hun, we have to wake up earlier than them, and its already past midnight." Karen nodded, and let go of the covers. They quietly walked into their bedroom for the night. The next morning, they were gone before either of their sons had awoken.
