Will had been running for just a few minutes when he decided to actually figure out where he was going. He
could barely make out what looked like the big dipper through the treeline. He spotted the North star and
decided to go West. For some reason, the heroes were just always in the west in videogames. Before he could
fully implement this plan, Will was knocked to the ground. Looking up, Will saw that the force that hit him
was another cheerleader.
"Logan? Rebeca?" He asked.
"Gabe." The other cheerleader said.
"I... who?" Will asked. He remembered his team from the first challenge, and that jerk Cal, but Gabe wasn't
ringing any bells.
"Remember? I got lost with Cal in the first mission." Gabe said.
"Oh yeah, the space ranger kid." Will said.
"Right." Gabe said.
"Lovely. Now, any particular reason you crashed into me just now?" Will asked.
"I was looking for Logan." Gabe said.
"Why?" Will asked.
"I kind of owe him for having won the last challenge." Gabe said.
"Look kid, in this game, you don't owe anybody anything. Just look out for yourself." Will said.
"That seems kind of mean." Gabe said.
"But it'll keep you alive. Trust me, I know how players like Cal operate. Kill everything in sight, loot it
all, then ditch the party if it gets hard. Then there's Rebeca, who is basically a jackass guild master, and
Logan, who is just a bland piece of moron." Will said.
"And what about you?" Gabe asked.
"Me? I'm the guy who kills the boss while everyone else is arguing." Will said.
"You sound like the guy to follow then." Gabe said.
"Can you be quiet?" Will asked.
"Yes." Gabe answered.
"Then yes, you can follow me." Will said.
