"It's me, Anna! Kenneth! I'm your big brother! Or I was, until that Circe lady made me a little kid!"
Anna's eyes widened. "How did you know about...?" [Circe! Did you change my brother?]
[Of course, silly girl. He is a useless male. And he refused to serve as your slave, so I had to punish him. In fact, I think I'll punish him again for making so much trouble.]
Kenneth felt a familiar chill. "No! Don't let her change me again!" But even as he spoke, his voice got higher and he got smaller. Six years old now, he felt tears start in his eyes again. "Stop her, Anna! Make her stop!" He dwindled again. Five years old. Four years old. "Don' wanna be wittle!"
[Circe, leave him alone! He's not a bad brother. Anyway, he's sorta cute now. I always wanted a baby brother or sister.]
The cold female voice sighed. [Very well. If you insist. But allow me to make one final adjustment.]
Kenneth shrank one last time, becoming about two years old. His ragged clothing changed to a fabric diaper and a jumper, and a stroller appeared. "No!" Before he could scream again, a pacifier appeared in his mouth, and he heard Circe's voice in his head again.
[Silence! If you don't stop this wailing, I'll put you back in a womb. There's a stray mutt over there that would make a good mother. So make your choice, stupid male. Be Anna's little brother, or find yourself wriggling out of a bitch's womb destined for a hard and very short life as a stray dog.]
As upset as he was, Kenneth realized that even a baby boy was better off than a dog, and he was sure Circe would follow through. He stopped trying to talk, and sucked on his pacifier. Unless you looked into his wide, frightened eyes, he looked like a normal, healthy, if a little homely, baby boy.
Anna clapped her hands in delight. "This is wonderful! I can take you for walks, and change your diapers, and play tea party, and have all sorts of fun! You'll love being my baby brother!"
