Naomi the anthro husky and Charlotte the anthro she-wolf lay in a lazy embrace in a secluded grove in the wolf-pack section of Transformation Park, exhausted after a morning of play had turned into an afternoon of love-making. Naomi was trying not to think of the fact that tomorrow Charlotte would be leaving the park and resuming her life as a boring human male, and the she-wolf she loved would be gone forever. If she thought about it, she knew, she would fall apart, and the last few years she had spent as leader of the husky pack that provided security for the park had steeled her against any display of weakness.
Charlotte tried to reach a place of calm within herself. She needed to talk to Naomi, and she had no idea how the husky would react.
"Sweetie, tomorrow"
Naomi interrupted. "Please, no, I just want to savor this."
"Listen to me. Tomorrow is the day I walk out of this park. But it doesn't have to be the day that Charlotte disappears."
Naomi perked up her ears.
"I like being Charlotte. I never thought I would come to almost prefer being female, but I do like it." She gave Naomi a friendly nuzzle. "Thanks for helping with that. It's gotten a lot easier to be an anthro on the outside in the last couple of years. It would still be kind of an adjustment, and I can't be sure how Charles's friends and family are going to take the fact that the big macho gay guy is now a cute little lesbian anthro she-wolf."
Charlotte took a deep breath. This was going to be the hard part. "Naomi, the only way Charlotte is walking out of this park is with Naomi at her side."
"But, but, I can't" Naomi sputtered.
"Why can't you?"
"My job, my responsibilities."
"Can be easily taken over by one of the other senior huskies, like that Harry guy you were talking about. You've got everything running so smoothly that you can come over here every day--maybe its time you did something else with your life?"
"I don't know."
"Naomi, you told me you haven't been beyond the boundaries of this park in over five years. There's a whole big world out there. You've shared the park with me. Let me share my world with you!"
