Rachel Williams was out in her front yard doing some raking when she spotted those two dyke couples over at the Donaldson house. She scowled, hating the fact that not only was there one lesbian couple in their neighborhood, but two. This wasn't some urban hippie neighborhood. This was a standalone town at least a hundred miles from any moderately-major city. People were a lot more conservative out here and didn't approve of the gay lifestyle. A woman should be with a man. Period. Which was why Rachel and several other neighbors were putting together a petition to keep gays out of their community. Just having two lesbian couples there would attract the kind of new neighbors that they didn't want.
"Honey, when did you say that you wanted to go to ..." Paul (her husband) started to ask, coming out of the house. He stopped when he saw her looking at the neighbors.
"Ugh, that's disgusting," Rachel said.
Paul turned and saw Janet Donaldson kissing her wife Stephanie. He had to agree. It just wasn't right. Women with women, men with men. It didn't matter. It was just wrong.
"You two should be ashamed of yourself!" Rachel yelled, catching the attention of the two lesbians. "You gay people make me sick!"
Janet suddenly got angry and then yelled back, making a wish that, like before, would actually come true.
