A couple of the new husky males were talking. "Man, she is totally into us. Did you see the way she was looking when we were doing the workout?" said Bob the husky.
"I don't know about that one. Why does she get to hang out around Zack all the time? What's so special about her?" replied Sam the husky.
"I don't know. I heard she used to be a guy, but so what?" Given the common presence of transgendered anthros, hostile attitudes towards transgendered beings were one of the first things prospective huskies were screened out for. Huskies as a matter of park policy were expected to take the attitude that the sex a person was at the present time was the sex they were, regardless of personal history, and most took that attitude on a personal level as well. Goldie was wrong in thinking that was an issue. Nor did people know about her previous history as the Lone Wolf, which the leadership huskies were keeping confidential. Mostly, the new huskies were just weirded out by and a little resentful of what seemed to be her close relationship with Zack, and her low self-esteem did the rest.

Leticia shivered at the way the strange buck had checked her out. She wasn't going to tell Jeremy, because she knew he would flip and challenge the interloper, and the huskies seemed to have everything under control with the new segregation policy. It was weird how strange the world of male competitiveness seemed to her now, considering how many years she had been male herself.

The initial contact between Usborne (who has been the sole personal link between the Order of the Stag and Transformation Park management as far as we can tell) took place outside the normal channels. Again, as far as we can tell Usborne dealt exclusively with human male top management and there was an effort to keep the information about the contact away from anthros and females in management. Shortly after the initial contact, TF park male human reservations manager Fred Thrusher bought a new car, one outside the parameters of what someone with his salary would normally buy. We also found aberrant spending patterns for male humans transformation programmer Mark Yeltis and legal representative Jack Jones.
Harry felt sick. The remark Zack had relayed about how Chad thought many does would be available after the tournament confirmed it. If there was one red line in this business, he had often thought, its that transformations had to be voluntary. Naomi at her worst had never suggested that males be forced to transform against their will, and if she ever had the leadership huskies would have walked out. The idea of having your body changed against your will was a kind of rape, and he would bet that with people like Chad and Vinny running things it would be followed by actual rape. No wonder they wanted to keep this away from anthros and women!
