"Next up, we have another Battle Royale, but this one is in Sci-Fi." The sprite said.
"Finally!" Gabe said. Everyone turned to stare at him for a few moments.
"Yes, anyway, you will be competing to solve a murder." The sprite said.
"Cool. Track down some suspects, get some laser shooting done, save the day, get paid. My kind of mission."
Will said.
"Not quite. Tell me, have any of you played Clue?" The sprite asked. Everyone raised their hand.
"Perfect. This is effectively going to be like that, but in space. You are each suspects in a murder. One of
you actually committed the murder. Unlike Clue, whoever did that will know they did it. It will be their job
to pin the blame on someone else. Then, that person will be killed. If this was the killer, whoever originally
suggested that person will be considered the winner. If it is not the killer, then the killer wins." The
sprite explained.
"So if one of us dies, the whole thing is over?" Rebeca asked.
"Effectively. If someone dies without being accused, and he or she is not the killer, then the death is not
considered to be the end of the match." The sprite said.
"And if the killer dies without being accused, then who wins?" Logan asked.
"Me. You will all receive zero points for this match, and be sent directly to the next challenge without
coming here, or getting an explanation of that challenge." The sprite said.
"So, don't let that happen." Will said.
"Precisely. Enjoy your game." The sprite said.
