Nothing happened. "Shit," muttered Kevin in her honey-coated voice.
"Is that the" -- Brad was reading off the note -- "'Choness Ring' on your finger?"
"Yeah, this is it," Kevin groaned. "Doesn't that note say it'll grant any wish as long as I have it in my possession? I got one!"
"Hmm, can I see it?" asked Brad.
"Sure, for all the good it's doing me," Kevin said, yanking it off her finger and practically slamming it into Brad's outstretched palm.
Looking down at the nondescript metal ring, Brad asked, "Whoa, did it just get bigger?"
"Probably," Kevin replied. "It got smaller when I got smaller, so..."
Brad slid it on the third finger of his right hand. "Whoa, did it just glow?"
"Yeah, that's what got me in trouble! I saw it glow and thought there might be something to this wish-granting stuff. But then I thought it was a joke, and I did something stupid --"
"If you say so." Brad had his hand up near his face, examining the ring in situ.
"Okay, so if it's only one wish to a person, wish me back to normal, please," begged Kevin.
"Yeah, but the note says whoever has the ring will be the master. Sounds like it should give unlimit--" Brad cut himself off and raised an eyebrow.
"What?" asked Kevin.
