Hours later, Shawn had managed to land near the Techguard Crime Labs.
"Alright, there's a huge wall surrounding the thing. Electrified?" Shawn asked into his comm, peering from behind a bush.
"And kept on permanent watch." Luther said.
"Cameras or guards?" Shawn asked.
"Cameras." Caleb asked.
"Good. It's substantially harder to hack techguards." Shawn said.
"This isn't the time for your foolish jokes code rat." Luther growled.
"Who said I was joking?" Shawn asked.
"Are you done breaking in yet?" Caleb asked.
"Just about. Any idea where the service door for the wall is?" Shawn asked.
"Service door?" Caleb asked.
"There's always a service door. Don't you watch movies?" Shawn asked.
"Oh dear God, this is who we're trusting to pull off a covert operation?" Luther asked.
"I can still hear you." Shawn said.
"You have to go over." Caleb said.
"Okay, how?" Shawn asked.
"I don't suppose you can climb?" Caleb said.
"Maybe. This thing has a lot of those big, flashy circuits youse guys love so much. Maybe I can get a good foothold." Shawn said. He proceeded to take a running start and leap onto the wall. After slipping for a terrifying few seconds, Shawn managed to hold onto a few outcropping bits of decorative stone.
"Alright, I'm on. I'll tell youse guys when I get over this thing." Shawn said. Several minutes later, when he was still only barely half way up, an idea struck Shawn.
"Um, youse guys? How am I gonna get down the other side?" Shawn asked.
"There is a six foot gap between the outer wall and the roof. You'll have to jump and pray." Caleb said.
"So, I'm gonna die. Great. How's the boss doing?" Shawn asked.
"I'm fine. Listen, you're enhanced right?" Gabe asked.
"Nothing physical. It's all routed to my brain and nerves." Shawn said.
"Can you trigger an adrenaline rush?" Gabe asked.
"Give me one second." Shawn said, pausing for a few moments on his climb, "It looks like I might be able to. At the least, I should be able to dull the pain when I fall to my death."
"You won't die. This should work, I've seen it before." Gabe said.
"Yeah, maybe for you big tough Magos guys. Us little scraps of code scanning don't exactly have those nice bio-tech limbs." Shawn said.
"Just because you are not here does not mean you may argue with the Magos." Luther said.
"Oh lay off him." Gabe said. That was the last thing on the comms until Shawn reached the top.
"Oh sonuva bitch that was hard. Alright, here goes nothing." Shawn said, propelling himself forwards.
