Janet was a beautiful woman of 28. She had medium-lenghth brunette hair, brown eyes, tanned skin, and a decent figure.
She had been dumped by her boyfriend Lenard two weeks ago because she had become too boring for him.
Janet had last seen him with a cute blonde woman, so she was understandably upset and mad.
Today she was in the park, sitting on a bench, thinking about what had happened.
"I really thought he was the one." she said to herself "I've had a few boyfriends before, and they've all had the lamest excuses for dumping me like 'you're not curvy enough', 'I like red-heads better', or most recently 'you're too boring' - UGH! I've had it with boyfriends! I've had it with men! I've had it with love! I'm finally convinced it's not real! There's no such thing as love!!!"
No sooner had she said that, then she heard a crash in the bushes near her.
Startled, Janet looked inside, and she saw what appeared to be a baby boy in nothing but a white diaper. He had blonde hair, blue eyes, and a pair of feathery wings on his back! She also noticed he seemed to be holding a bow, and a quiver full of arrows.
"Cupid?!" She asked, not sure if she was really seeing this.
"Yeah," he replied weakly "that's me. You must be Janet Naves."
"How do you know my name?" she asked the winged baby.
"I make it my business to know about everyone, especially those who are, or were in love." he told her "I was flying overhead looking for people to shoot with my arrows, when I lost my strength, and fell - that almost never happens - it only happens when someone stops believing in love. Since you're the only one here, was that you?"
Janet suddenly looked a bit nervous, then remembered her situation. "So what if it was?!" she spat back "What are you going to do about it?!"
Without warning, he spat in her face.
"Eww!" she screamed "What was that for?!" but no sooner had she asked that, then she began to rapidly get younger, shrinking into her clothes! When it was over, all her clothes vanished, and she was left as a baby girl in nothing but a pink diaper! Most surprising of all, she felt she had wings of her own! "What did you just do to me, you little freak?!" she asked, a bit unnerved by her higher voice.
"There must be balance in nature," Cupid replied "and if I can't do my job, then someone else must! Since you made me fall, you have to do it. As punishment, you must make at least 7 couples fall in love before Valentines's Day, or you'll be stuck like that for a whole year, or until Mother nature decides you've learned your lesson - whichever comes first. Here are the rules: 1: They must be male and female, so no gay of lesbian stuff - I hate that! 2: They must be close to the same age - the world doesn't need more pedophiles! 3: They must not be related to eachother, so no incest, alright? and 4: Most importantly of all, you must not be seen! If you break any of these rules, not only will you have to fix the problem, but the amount of couples you must make fall in love will increase by 3, and don't think I or Mother Nature won't find out, because we WILL! Now take my quiver and bow please. I must go to Mother Nature now to be healed, and don't worry about this happening to you - no one else in this city has stopped believing in love, so you'll be fine. We'll be watching you. For now, goodbye."
And with that, Cupid vanished, leaving his bow and quiver behind, which Janet picked up. "Great." she muttered to herself "I guess I don't have a choice now."
So she flew off, in search of someone to make fall in love with another, but who does she find?
