Rachel (now Richard) was going to turn away and go check the Matson house, thinking that Janet might be there instead, but paused when she heard the door begin to open.

Inside the Donaldson house, Steve (now Stephanie) was still trying to wrap his mind around what had happened to him and Carl (now Carly). He would have preferred that "Carly" stay, but her wife Wendy insisted on her leaving with her. That was a few hours ago. Who knew what they were doing now?
Steve was in the process of looking around his new home (which looked a little altered, now that two women lived there instead of a man and woman), when suddenly, there was a knock at the door. He walked to the front door and looked out the peephole, seeing a man standing outside. The man looked very impatient, but Steve wasn't sure he wanted to open the door up. He was still getting used to his new female body and life. He wasn't sure that he wanted to interact with anyone, at least so soon. But after the man wouldn't go away, he decided to open the door and see what he wanted.
So with that, he opened the door. "Yes? Can I help you?" Steve asked, cringing a little at his very female voice. He'd really have to get used to that. Unless he could get his wife to reverse whatever happened. If that was even possible.
"Where's your wife?" the man asked.
"I don't know. She left a few hours ago," Steve answered.
The man looked irritated, but also a little desperate. "Do you have any idea when she'll be back?"
"No," Steve said. "Sorry. Why do you need to see her?" He had never seen this man before. But this was a new reality. Maybe in this existence, this man was a close friend of his wife, for all he knew.
