Nate picked up the satyr shaped cookie and took a bite out of it. He chewed and swallowed. It tasted like a nice spice cookie, good taste even though he couldn't quite place it. He smiled to Kathryn.
"It's really good."
"I'm glad you like it," replied Kathryn. Nate finished eating the cookie.
"Thanks for that, I should probably be going," replied Nate.
"Ok, thanks for the pie!" replied Kathryn as she walked Nate out. She closed the door behind him and smiled to herself. "I don't think you'll be bored anymore, Nate."
Nate walked back to his house, feeling the joys of Spring Break wash over him. He had nothing particular going on and was enjoying the time away from school. He walked inside, kicked off his shoes and went upstairs to his room. He laid down on the bed and pulled out the book he was reading. He started reading it for a bit when he legs started feeling itchy. He reached down and scratched them, surprised to feel little hairs. He sat up and looked at his legs. He was surprised at the hair growth, having barely any body hair before. Nate shrugged it off and went back to his book.
After awhile, he felt hungry and realized it was lunch time. He put down the book and got up. He caught sight of his legs as he was rolling off the bed. The hairs were definitely longer and more dense now. Suddenly his feet began to feel sore too. He ran his fingers through the hairs, trying to convince himself of what he was seeing.
"What the hell?" Nate looked closer at his feet. They were definitely hairier and were they...growing? He blinked and looked again, feeling like he was losing his mind.
Suddenly, he heard a knock at the door. He got up and walked across the room when he caught sight of himself in the mirror. His hair was developing a curl and looking decidedly shaggier. His ears were also looking a bit pointy.
"What is happening to me?" wondered Nate aloud.
