"I really want to go full robot, but I am a little scared. It really is painful, isn't it?" Emily asked with suspicion.
"It is not" The woman replied calmly. "It may feel... a little strange though"
"Come on, this stuff will probably hurt like hell. Can I start with an arm and see how it goes?" She raised her right arm and looked at it. "Just this one?"
"As you wish"
The woman brought what looked like a long grey glove. Fascinated and curious, Emily slid her hand all the way until she could find the pathways for her fingers. For a few seconds she examined the attire, but nothing happened. As she looked closer, Emily was drawn to the amazing patchwork on the clothes - the occasional tubes and lights looked so unbelievably real! She looked closer, still bewildered by all the details. Way too real! She cautiously touched the material and could now feel its cold metal surface under her fingers! No way! It actually WAS real!
"Wow!" She gasped as she tried to raise her hand and could hear the soft hiss of hydraulic pistons. Dazed, she tried to flex her fingers and they responded. First with a bit of a delay, but then completely in synch with her thoughts. They were so thin and delicate, living no space for her own fingers if it was a glove. Emily raised her new hand to the light and watched in amazement how bits of light went through her joints - the armour clearly did not hide anything. This futuristic equipment was really now a part of her body.
