Still trying to adjust her shirt, Dave said "Go ahead," in a resigned tone, "like you said, the damage has been done, let's just focus on finishing this thing and getting everyone back to normal."
Evan rolled, slid his piece over, and rolled again. "Little show of solidarity. I'm obviously not going to stay for the full treatment, but a little extra charm can't hurt, and look, apparently all the starting spaces let you take a break for a couple turns and move wherever. I'll follow you, and between the two of us trading rolls, we should be able to sweep right through to the crown no sweat with the path I'm looking at."
Frank squeaked, "I don't suppose anyone can just drop the dice in here and slide my piece two spaces towards Charley?"
Dave leaned forward to try. "Stuck. Not really surprised."
"Well can everyone just look away? I don't really have enough slack in this sleeve to reach that far."
Everyone obliged, although the changes to Frank's card helped their imaginations quite a bit. "A circle of fairies offers to use their magic to 'bring out the real you.' Be transformed based on whichever skill is lowest, bla bla bla, more Charm if I pass a crazy high roll, but they're only going to get worse and that's three less pinches of dust next time I need it, whatever..." some tiptoeing and die throwing later, Frank added, "OK, you can look now" from back within the safety of a sleeve.
Alex took a quick look at the board, and his card, "Shame I lost that discount ability, looks like it'd be real handy in the city. Still seems like I should try to get over there before I lose all my money somewhere else... let's see. Traveling to the forest's edge, you are struck with a vision of mortal beauty. If your Wits and a die score an 8 or higher, you realize your differences will always keep you apart and may take another turn as you storm away. Fail, and you are completely smitten by hopeless romance, and must give the most beautiful woman in sight your most valued possession." Alex gave the die a quick roll, came up short, and passed it along with a potion to Dave with an amorous grin.
"Very funny," Dave began to say, but stopped with surprise. As roughly half the players' turns were being skipped, the usually subtle shift in appearance caused by the pool space suddenly caught up, giving Evan a set of rugged good looks and having a dramatic effect on Dave's figure. Suddenly, she sported the body of a pin-up girl, with breasts and hips threatening to burst right out of clothes that were suddenly a terrible fit. Realizing Alex really was staring at the nipples tenting visibly through her shirt, she quickly slid her now equally curvy piece to where she started, and stated in a voice so sexy it took everyone by surprise, "OK, I'm going home real quick to find something that actually fits me like this and doesn't get me any creepy stares from Mr. Long-ears." Evan slid his piece along, after glancing at the changed text of the space and stifling a laugh. He then followed Dave up the stairs and out the door, eyes glued to her shapely new ass.
"Oh, my turn again already?" came a voice in no way recognizable as Frank's, whose card had changed yet again to "the Perky Pixie." Leaping out of the sleeve and straight into the air, supported by fluttering gossamer wings was a fiercely grinning tiny nude woman whose face was framed in hot pink hair. "Shame about that last turn of yours, but he did have his eyes on her first. Still, anything can happen with this game, you might win her over in the end." She fluttered down for a closer look at the space Evan had moved to, lifting the pieces that blocked the text to read silently to herself, "Your new lady friend has left to remove clothes. Follow to her bedroom and give her a reason to keep them off for the next two turns."
"You know," she said, fluttering up to Alex's face, giving him a full view of her new anatomy, not to be titilating, but simply because she now lacked any sense os shame, "since it's just us forest folk here right now, let's get the windows open down here, let in some of that cool night air and the smell of flowers, hmm?"
Alex was still in something of a daze, distracted by strange new feelings towards Dave. He tried to have a look at the space Frank had read, but when he tried to lift the pieces it was like they were glued to the board. A little fresh air did seem like a good idea though, so he set about cracking open every small dingy window the basement had to offer. Frank followed behind, wiggling fingers at the weeds growing up along the sides of the building, at which point delicate vines covered in fragrant flowers began to rapidly grow down to the floor, decorating the walls with nature's splendor.
