Melissa sat back down at her cubical. Strangely enough, there was a hole in the back of the chair for her tail.
Out of curiosity, she went online, and checked out the Red Roo Resort.
It looked nice enough, but what got her attention was that the photos of it looked like they'd come straight out of a cartoon show!
One of them was a web-cam. She clicked on it, and saw the vast lobby of the resort, where there were plenty of toon roos and their joeys were happily hopping around the place.
None of them wore any pants, but with the thick fur on their bodies, there was no need! Every toon roo woman that Melissa saw had huge breasts as big as watermelons! "Oh, crickey!" she said quietly in her new Aussie accent "Is that what I'll look like?!"
Just then, Melissa's mouse friend Brie came over, eating a small wedge of her namesake, came over to see what she was looking at.
"So gal-pal," she asked in her silly toon voice "feeling any cheddar?"
"Not really." she replied sadly.
"Oh, you got an Aussie accent!" Brie happily exclaimed "That is sooo cute!"
Before Melissa could reply, her poodle friend Fifi came over excited and wagging her tail.
"Arf! Guess what?" she told them "Fido asked me for my paw in marriage, and look!" she showed them an engagement ring on her middle digit of her right forepaw (hand) that had a huge diamond on it as big as a strawberry!
"Wow!" Brie exclaimed "Gouda for you, Fifi! You're one lucky bitch!"
"Woof! I know, right?" Fifi replied, happily wagging her tail "Anyway, since you two are my best friends, I wanted to personally invite you two to the wedding first, Arf! So are you coming?"
"You bet!" Brie replied "Wouldn't miss it for all the mozzarella in Italy!"
"What about you?" Fifi asked Melissa.
"Well,.." she hesitated a bit.
"Please." Fifi asked as she got down on her knees, in a doglike begging position, and started making whining sounds like the canine she had become.
"Well," Melissa thought to herself "toon or not - she's still my friend."
"Alright then," Melissa replied in her Aussie accent "I'll be there."
"Yes! Arf!" Fifi exclaimed as she rose back up "Thanks, sistah! I knew I could count on you, Woof! The wedding's gonna be great, Arf! We'll have cake, icecream, a band, singers, dancers, a piano, the whole pack will be there! Yip! I'm so excited I think I might burst! Woof!"
"Don't make me use the whistle on you!" Brie told her in a stern, but still silly voice. At this, Fifi's ears drooped down.
"Sorry." Fifi said "I'll stop." "Good girl." Brie said, patting Fifi on the head, and giving her a doggie biscuit which she promptly ate.
"Where did you get those?" Melissa asked.
"My pockets, silly!" Brie gleefully relied.
"That's not what I - " Melissa was interrupted by her ears moving to the top of her head, becoming pointy and ridiculously long!
"Wow!" Brie exclaimed in wonder "Your ears look like they came in great!"
"Oh, before I forget," Fifi told Melissa "as soon as your body is done changing, please let me know so I can get the right measurements for your dress."
"Righto." she replied as she got turned off her browser, and got back up "Will do. Um, please excuse me. I must go and speak with Mister Stevenson about something." and she turned and started hopping away.
"Let me know how your trip goes!" Brie called out to her, then turning towards Fifi, asked "So how many puppies were you planning to have?" that was the last Melissa heard from them as she hopped to Mister Stevenson's office. "How did she know about the bloom'n trip?" Melissa asked herself "Did she read my thoughts somehow, or - no - best not ta think 'bout it. I'll talk to him, and then git outta 'ere before I lose whatevah sanity I 'av left!"
