He decides to change…
…into a basketball player. Noland had never been much of an athlete, but he always enjoyed watching basketball and was a fan of several college and NBA players. He wasn’t sure how (or if) this thing was going to work, but he figured that he might as well have some fun if he was going to use it.
He clicked on the picture and some menus came up for him to make individual modifications. He began to click and select several options:
Name: (Noland) Caleb

Noland was excited to see that, with each option changed, the picture on the screen would change accordingly. This was helpful in making accurate adjustments with his weight and muscle mass, and especially with the level of hairiness. Noland first chose ‘very hairy’, but kind of scoffed at the idea of looking like Sasquatch. So he dialed it back to a ‘perfect’ amount. He decided to keep most of his looks (hair, eyes, facial features, etc.) but was thrilled to be able to change his name. Noland was an old family name, and he really did not like it. One of his favorite TV shows had a cool character named Caleb, and so he chose it as his new name. As for sexuality, he was a virgin, but figured while he was changing other things, why not change that, too? And he might as well give himself plenty of options and opportunity, so the new Caleb would be hung and fully bisexual.
Once he was finished, the next dialogue with the program was designed to set the timing of the changes: when they would start and how long they should take. After reading some of the help files, Noland decided to set a timer for five minutes… giving him time to prepare for the transformation. Then he figured about ten minutes would be sufficient for him to change without rushing it too much (which the program warned could be painful and destructive).
Noland finished the timings, and then the program asked for final confirmation.
“Are you sure you wish to make the changes? Click ‘OK’ to save all work and proceed with transformation.”
