"You two! Step away from the controls!" A guard said as he appeared in the doorway. Cal pressed a button on the controls and the door slammed shut.
"This is just getting better." Logan said.
"Hey, you know what would be helpful? A tech magos who has a gun hand." Gabe said, his hand rearranging to show five small gun barrels.
"Fine, but only because we don't have any options." Cal said, deactivating the laser wall.
"Load up, shit's about to get real." Logan said, blasting a hole in the small window of the door with his sidearm.
"Give yourselves up peacefully, and this will all be over soon." A guard shouted.
"Well, as a nun, I can only ever hope to advocate peace." Cal said. He then grabbed a small sphere from a compartment in his shoulder pad and tossed it out the hole in the window.
"What's that?" Logan asked. He was answered momentarily as an explosion went off just outside the door. Shouts of "Man down!" could be heard from the hallway.
"First blood." Cal smirked.
"We need to get out of here." Gabe said, dragging his fingers across the opposite wall.
"Brilliant deduction Magos." Logan said, rolling his eyes.
"Cal, tear this wall down." Gabe said, pointing to one of the walls of his former cage.
"Why not just take this out?" Cal asked, punching the wall Gabe had been prodding at. It left no mark.
"These are too well built. If we use the laser wall though, it might cut through." Gabe said.
"Works for me." Cal said, tearing down the wall he had been asked to.
"I could use another grenade." Logan said, firing at the guards crowding around the door.
"These A.I.'s are just stupid." Cal said, idly throwing another grenade into the mass of guards, taking out most of them.
"Cross your fingers." Gabe said, activating the laser wall. It slammed into the opposite wall, cutting a hole right through. Gabe quickly shut the laser off.
"It's too thin." Cal said, trying in vain to even fit his arm through the hole they had made.
"New plan then." Logan said, inserting a small disc into the hole in the wall, "Take cover."
As the players all hid behind various objects, a torso sized hole was blown in the wall.
"Nice." Cal said.
"Thanks. I really should have checked this thing earlier." Logan said, a hidden pocket in his holster. Just then, a bullet nearly hit him in the head.
"I thought you said those things were tiny!" Logan said, returning fire.
"I lied. I thought it would help if you guys didn't know how guns worked. I thought you would make a mistake during the murder." Gabe said.
"Right, because that doesn't make you look suspicious or anything." Cal said, firing on the guards.
"Sorry." Gabe said.
"You're a nun, you have to forgive him. I, on the other hand, can still be pissed off." Logan said.
