After the history of the ring, there was a more thorough discussion of the powers of the ring. The ring could manipulate reality based on the wishes of the wearer. The wearer's reality or the reality of others could be changed. Rebekka was not God so the ring remained only limited to Him and His Son. The book noted the wearer takes the responsibilities for the actions of the ring. Judgement would come for that. Joe knew that judgement came with Jesus' return.
The ring could create or change matter at will. Peoples could be turned into things, animals, merged together. Just about anything could be done. Things could be turned into living things, other items, merged. The ring contained powerful energies. It was essentially an inanimate form of Rebekka. The ring did have a consciousness, though, as it had to interpret the wearer's wish. The ring differed from Rebekka as it tended to be benevolent in granting wishes. Unless the wish is very specific, the ring did things for the good. An example was given describing Amanda's recent with to be clocked in. Had Rebekka granted that request, Amanda would have been a time card and be stamped with the correct time.
I found that last bit of information interesting. So, the ring doesn't want to hurt someone, necessarily. That was a big plus as my wishes could tend not to have much detail. There was a note that the ring will learn the wearer's intentions and adjust the wish to seek good where bad was intended.
The pamphlet was very interesting as I spent the hour reading it carefully. I learned I could indeed turn into anything I want. The ring and I would become the new form with the ring incorporated into that form appropriately. I remained conscious in some weird way, adjusting to my new form. As long as I mentally thought a wish, it would be granted, whatever I became.
When it came to others people or things, anything was possible. However, no one could simply be wiped off the face of the earth. They could be changed into anything, but they could not be made to not exist. Permanent changes were also frowned upon but could be done.
Again, the wearer takes responsibility, especially when the Judgement comes.
I gulped at that. The ring was not a good item to have, especially knowing my actions would reap reprocutions. I knew Jesus had forgiven me of my sins and sins I would make. Still, I asked for forgiveness in making the woman's clothing disappear yesterday. The rings power was a incredible, yet it came at a price. No matter what I did, I would pay for it. I looked at the brass wonder on my finger. 'Wow,' I thought. I promised myself to keep the ring to Amanda and I.
Two hours went by as I slowly made my way through the 10 pages. It seemed like there was more information in that pamphlet than it appeared. The end of the book recommended finding a volcano and throwing the ring in there. I found that somewhat ironic, yet it was perhaps the second wisest thing I read in there. The first was salvation through Jesus Christ. The book warned that Rebekka may come looking for the ring.
