Great News Mom!
Daniel was read your letter telling of plans to come and stay here at Devon. I know he would appreciate you being close so I have taken the liberty of renting you a flat at a nearby boarding house. This will be good till you get your bearings and find a place more to your liking. Daniel went wild when I read him your letter. I read it to him after he'd been pasture for a good ten days. His reaction was shown in kicking up his hind legs and running about the pasture whining and with tail held high. This is how a stallion show's his glee or passion so I know he's happy!
We had an unexpected addition to our special group of animal husbandry volunteers, Mrs. Justin Markus. She as you might remember was the wife of Justin the Lab tech who accidentally injected Daniel and later injected himself. The Professor sent him to us and we kept him as working stock. His change did not go well and he was sterile. A gelding horse has no use but for working or riding.
Justin remained here till shortly after his arrival a terrible accident with a truck caused his death. We contacted his wife and sent her the life insurance money but oddly she approached the Professor Haun and is now coming to us as a new brood mare.
I must say that Daniel in his decision to be a Dartmoor stallion has left his mark on the earth. Few people have made such strides in animal husbandry than your Daniel. His chemically engineered semen had and is creating wonderful specimens of refined and healthy pony foals. Truly it was God's wish to send him here, he's blessed the breed so very much.
My cousin owns a Exmoor stud in the next shire. His was the place Professor Haun had planned to send you to and there stay near to Daniel. I agreed with him that placing his human Mother as a brood mare inside his herd would only cause upset. Now, of course all that has changed. Since you won't be joining his farm and ours neither it is all swept under the rug.
