You sat there looking at Tulipelle silently. You felt astonishingly comfortable with her, even more so than before, and you felt your heart fluttering. It left you with a lot of things to wonder about. You had found her beautiful and wanted her as a friend, but she seemed more beautiful now. You silently wondered if you were falling in love with her after only knowing her for a few hours. You thought of asking her, but that seemed a little silly and would embarrass yourself. It left you not really knowing what to do, especially as she smiled at you, probably from what you'd said to assure her that she hadn't broken her promise.
You were about to say something when suddenly a set of flowers, which looked like a set of bluebells began to shake. As they shook, they rang and sounded like the ringing of chimes back at home... back in the human world. The magic in Gaia was interesting, especially as organic looking flowers, all scaled down to being proportionate to a fairy, rang with the same metallic chime that you had heard before.
"Heh... that'd... that'd be the door," Tulipelle said softly and stood up, "I'd best get it."
You watched as she stood up and walked out of the bedroom. Realizing she was still in the practically see through sleepwear that she had been wearing, you got up and tried to pursue to warn her to put on more appropriate clothing, and forgot that you were wearing rather similar sleepwear to Tulipelle's. You caught up with her just as she reached her door and opened it. You gasped when the door opened to reveal a fairy in fairly ornate looking clothing, including a gold decoration that looked sort of like a crown from what you could see. The fairy looked between you and Tulipelle and raised an eyebrow.
"Ms. SilverDust," the fairy said after a moment.
"Yes, Emissary?" Tulipelle said nervously.
"Where is the human you brought into our village?" the fairy questioned.
"Human?" Tulipelle asked, glancing to you.
"Yes," the fairy answered, "You went out to the edges of the Fairylands where the borders between our world and the mortal world are weak. And while the Queen is not opposed to a little mischief with humans, she does prefer that any human that comes into our lands be brought before her."
There was a silence for a moment as the fairy again glanced between you and Tulipelle again before continuing.
"And you were observed with a human woman when you returned," the fairy finished.
"I'm sorry... it was late," Tulipelle said slowly, "I didn't want to disturb anyone."
"Understood... please bring the human woman before the Queen, and then you and your fairy friend may return to whatever it is you were doing," the fairy commanded.
"Um..." you gave a whimper, feeling a strong urge to protect Tulipelle from any trouble. You're speaking up attracted the other fairy's attention and she looked to you.
"Yes?"
"What would you say if I WAS the human Tulipelle brought with her?" you asked nervously.
The fairy raised an eyebrow again, and looked clearly skeptical.
"You are one of us... Ms...?" the fairy replied.
"MoonGlow, Irisette MoonGlow," you answered, "but I only just became a fairy. I assure you my coming to your world was an accident and Tulipelle took mercy on me. She brought me back here because she didn't know the spell to send me home... but it was late, and so we weren't going to wait until now... but I couldn't sleep and decided to get a midnight snack, and the magic in your food hit the spell Tulipelle cast to heal injuries I'd sustained and to shrink me down to fairy size so I could more easily talk with you and it reacted as though I were her and..."
"And you absorbed the magic and became a fairy yourself," the fairy answered, "Not the first time something like this has happened in Gaia, Ms. MoonGlow, as our world is connected with your former world intimately... but it has become something of a rarity in recent centuries."
You guessed that was the result of the advancement of science on Earth and thus the decline of the belief in magic.
"I will report this to the Queen, Ms. MoonGlow that you have become one of her subjects, but you must still present yourself before the Queen," the fairy spoke, "though you will both need to get dressed."
