Jeff spent some time as a frog in this intermediary stage. There wasn't a whole lot to do. That was until he finally found a mate, a sexy young female frog who didn't have a lot of personality but was pretty good in the lily pad.
Eventually, when relaxing with his "wife", he heard a rustling in the bushes. Humans! Jeff leapt up towards them as his wife, with her more primal brain, leapt into the pond. However, she wasn't fast enough, and the tribal people hit her with a spear. Jeff was a little sad, but... him next! He needed to get caught if he had any chance of becoming a human again. As he settled down in front of a villager, he felt the deep impact of a spear himself. Now there was hope - all the villager had to do was cook him over a fire and gobble him up, and Jeff would be human again.
Unless something else got him on the way...
