"Wait!" Mika exclaimed. The sudden outburst startled the girls who glanced at the small girl in surprise. "What's the matter Mika?" Claudia asked a concerned look on her face. Mika lowered her head and stared at her feet. "Before Katie makes her wish I want to see what it's like to be a young again."
All five girls stared dumbfounded at Mika, Claudia was the first to approach. "What are you talking about Mika," she asked. "You can't seriously think that reliving your youth is a good idea. Your married, I've gone out with you and your husband a thousand times what would he say."
Mika looked up at Claudia with tears in her eyes. "I doubt he would miss me," she moaned. "He's too busy with that whore at the office." Claudia's mouth went slack at her friends answer.
Mika looked at Claudia with sorrowful eyes as she spoke. "My husband is infertile," she said. "He always blamed me for this even though the doctors told us it was because of him. Needless to say we've grown apart over the years. Now he's seeing some secretary at work whose old enough to be his daughter. He flaunts it in my face, he'll never admit it but he spends all his time with her even brining her over for dinner or going over to her home for late night "projects". Before I go back I want to think about things."
"Mika," Claudia stammered. "I didn't know why didn't you say something." Mika shrugged. "I was ashamed," she whispered. "It's the same reason I was so quick to agree with everyone about growing up again."
"Why change your mind now," Samantha asked. Mika glanced at the young brunette before answering. "Peer pressure is a hell of a thing even when your old," she answered. "I didn't want to seem odd for agreeing with Mary. Something about being this young makes you want to fit in even more. I only gathered enough courage when I thought we would become adults again."
Mika looked at Katie, mustering the courage to speak. "I'm still mad you made me a kid again," she said. "But this could be a gift. If Mary is going to be a kid again then I think I will too."
Mary Elise stared dumbfounded at the young girl. "Are you serious?" She asked. Mika nodded her head and hugged Mary Elise. "Even when we were kids the first time you always looked out for me. I don't know if I could lose you." Mary Elise smiled. "Thanks Mika," she said. Mika looked up at the taller girl. "Just give me the weekend to think about okay," she said with a smile.
Claudia shook her head. "This is crazy. I can't believe you two are actually thinking about staying like this." Claudia sighed and looked at her friends before shrugging. "Okay..fine now what do we do. We have the weekend and there's a babysitter coming over in an hour."
"I can't believe that's all you have to say," Tricia exclaimed. "What happened to the Claudia who force of will would get the rest of us to agree with us." Claudia turned to Tricia looking at the tall girl. "I grew up.....sort of, maybe you should do the same." Claudia exclaimed sticking her tongue out at Tricia.
Samantha sighed. "You guys want to be kids fine after this weekend count me out."
Mary Elise shook her head. "What happened to you Samantha?" She asked. "Why are you being such a downer about this?"
Samantha glared at the red haired girl. "Mary," she said. "Your one of my closest friends but I'm happy being old. I made a good life for myself. I'm not that naïve little girl anymore. Anyway were wasting time. Obviously were not going to come to a conclusion let's figure out what were going to do today before anymore of us decide to relive our childhood."
Mary turned to Katie. "Alright Katie what's are next move?"
