Katie started to try to make the wish but a surge in the Ring caused her to double over. Suddenly there was a flash, and all the other girls except herself, Mary Elise and Mika were gone.
"No! Where'd they go?" She asked.
Suddenly she heard soft laughing in the other room, the sound of women. The little girls quickly entered the kitchen. There, sitting at the counter with kellie were Claudia, Samantha and Tricia all turned back to normal and their old ages. They were talking and having coffee like it was any ordinary day. The four turned and smiled, "Well hello girls, are you having fun?"
Katie nodded, "Uhm, did any of you notice anything strange?"
"Strange dearie?" Tricia asked.
"Yeah," Mika said. "Why are you all here?"
"Oh we were just stopping by, dear." Samantha said with a smile. "Sharing old memories of childhood. I suppose I am getting old, because I dont remember how I got here."
"Do you remember anything?" Mary Elise asked.
The three woman looked honestly and hard at the three young girls. "Strange to say I feel like I knew you once" Claudia said. "But then again, maybe I knew a little girl like you when I was your age."
Mika and Mary Elise were obviously disapointed. Their friends didn't remember them at all. They looked to Katie who nodded and made a mental wish, but nothing happened. The ring warmed but she felt it speak to her. Because of their actions, the ring wasn't willing to take the risk of changing these women again, save for Kellie. They were this way from now on. Katie sighed and shook her heads.
Kellie turned to the women, "Well we should help you nice women home. It was so nice of you to stop by, I just can't remember why myself!"
The three women gathered their things and went to the door. Before they left however, they stopped and glanced back. For that moment, the girls hearts skipped a beat, wondering if they remembered but instead each smiled. "Dont be in a hurry to grow up you three!" They said. Then they were gone.
Katie turned and looked at her new friends. "I guess its just us three now."
