The two other girls sat sullenly, frowning at the pavement. Despite everything Katie tried, she couldn't draw them out of their own thoughts.
"I cant really blame them, their friends are gone now, forever." She thought to herself. It wasn't their fault really, not hers either...though she did feel guilty. "I have to help them move on."
Katie smiled and closed her eyes. "I wish that Mary Elise and Mika would forget about their friends and their part in the changes I made with the ring, and think they were the only ones."
Almost instantly the two girls blinked. "Why are we sitting out here, Katie? I want to see what else that ring can do!"
"Yeah," Mika said. "We could be any age we want!"
