The fairy wasn’t the only one who remembered last night. Something compelled you to bring it up, and now was as good a time as any. “I saw how you blushed last night when I asked why you came back to see me.” You took one last puff of the mist flower.
“Y…you saw that?” The fairy asked.
“I did, and I could tell it was more than mere concern, wasn’t it?”
The fairy took the mist flower from you and tossed it out the window. “You know how in fairy tales, people fall in love at first sight?”
“Yes.”
”That’s one of the reasons why Fairy Tales are named as such. We fairies instantly know our true love when we see them. It’s not always apparent to us right at the moment, but once we figure it out, all we want is their happiness, even if it means putting them out of our reach forever.”
“By sending me home?”
“It’s what you want, is it not?”
