“Yeah, I suppose, you’re right honey.” Nathan murmured in response to Suzanne’s lack of concern, not really sure what had him worried in the first place anymore as he looked ahead to the long, boring straight.
He had agreed to her choice of route after she’d explained the history of this particular area, supposedly a place of spiritual significance to the American Indians prior to becoming a modern road for the masses. There had also been the rumours of odd happenings and disappearances within this vicinity though that was something he paid little mind to. He was here to give his wife a fantastic time, and once they reached their planned rest stop, that was exactly what he intended to do.
Checking their position on the road with the sign they passed and their GPS, Nathan worked out that at their current pace, they’d be there in a little under an hour now as the Sun slowly slid behind the mountain range. It would probably start to turn to twilight by the time they made it, but that was just fine with him.
So distracted was he by his thoughts about Suzanne, that he didn’t pay much attention to the sound of tearing that reached his pointed ears. Had he looked down, he would have seen that his feet had just torn through his shoes, and that they were ended with hard, bony hoof. Not that he would have worried about it in his current state, instead just continuing to drive along at the limit while the remains of his shoes and socks rested on the floor just ahead of the pedals. Not did he register the loosening he felt around his neck, that being his thickening neck blowing the collar button off, rather, he just enjoyed being able to breath with greater ease now as his face slowly slid into his wider field of vision.
“S-shay? What’ll weee do when we geth there?” He heard Suzanne slur out to him, her own changing face starting to affect her speech.
“Who knowssh? Buth, I’ll gif you a nighth you won’th forgeth.” Nathan promised her with some slurring of his own.
Turning to see her, he didn’t really notice that her blouse was skin-tight now, straining to contain her slowly enlarging form that was taking on a cream-yellow shade as new hairs sprouted over her, in contrast to his own chocolate-brown. A popping noise he heard was her bra snapping loose as it failed against her swelling chest as the blouse began to tear open with the buttons failing as she leaned back a bit, her fur-coated breasts hanging out.
This created a strong stirring deep inside Nathan, which was probably why his fly tore at that point, a large mottled pink-and-black penis beginning to slide out while the sleeves of his shirt split down at the seams and along the biceps.
“Gething clother.” He moaned out with a thick tongue, wishing they would just be there already as he shifted to try and get more comfortable in the seemingly-smaller seat as he drove, the growing tail making that rather more difficult, even without their having awareness of what was happening to them at this point.

Elsewhere, close to where the Butlers were aiming for, there were a few people sitting in wait around a small fire.
“So after your little ‘mistake’, let’s hope that this mess can be cleaned up without further incident.” The eldest of the group spoke firmly as a pair of younger men sat in front of him, heads bowed in shame. “For now, they won’t be aware of what your actions have done to them, but whether they continue to progress fully, or can be halted at the halfway, that is something we’ll only know once they arrive.”
