The 5 minutes had passed and Dustin was beginning to stir. Ty had turned the TV on to distract himself while waiting for Dustin to come to and be more emotionally stable.
Ty turned off the TV and stood up turning to Dustin. What he saw caught him off guard. It was definitely Dustin but he was taller, older, even more muscular, sporting a goatee and dressed in a new t-shirt and basketball shorts instead of an small wife beater and cargo shorts.
"What happened?" Ty asked himself going back over his wishes from 5 minutes ago.
Dustin was waking up and beginning to sit up and shake the sleep away. Ty had to decide what to do immediately. "Ugh" Dustin grunted in an unusually deep voice "I feel like I've been passed out for a year."
It had to have been the growing part of my last wish... how did I word it? growing back to normal? grow until he's normal? And this isn't normal! he looks like he could be finishing college or working full time... What the hell? I should have been more explicit with my wording...
It was then that Ty pieced together what must have happened... Ty had dumped his life's worth of bad experiences into Dustin. All his memories werent bad or traumatic but a third of them were and three quarters had underlying emotions that tainted the experiences making it bad.. in short, Dustin must have gained around 6 years of experience from Ty and Ty must have magically grown him to normal. Normal wasn't clearly defined and must have been interpreted as normal for his amount of experiences (which was the last "spell" he had cast).
So in his own way, Dustin did end up getting 6 years to let the wounds heal, it was just over 5 minutes. The question Ty didn't have an answer to is if this Dustin is mentally adjusted to being physically 22 or 16 and what does the rest of the world expect? Does growing back to normal make it normal?
Dustin rubbed his eyes, then his hair and he stretched. "Huuuuuuuuu-ohhhh, Wow, how long was I out?" Dustin cleared his throat. Maybe because he knows his voice is different? Ty wondered.
"Oh just 5 minutes"
