As the warmth washed over her, Katie felt the reassurance of herself and the ring. Everything felt exactly as it should be, as it would be no matter what. She and the ring were now bonded, almost one being. Smiling, she traced her fingers along her belly and touched it. The ring warmed to her fingers and the light danced across it.
"Well," The old man said. "Go try it out, just don't forget to bring your friends here!"
Katie nodded, grinning. "I wont!" She turned and practically ran from the shop.
"I know just what to do."
