You awkwardly try to make up an excuse to Darren, but you can't seem to think of anything logical that will get him to stop thinking about your new changes.
"What are you talking about?" you ask, almost pretending to not see your changes. As he looks at you, confused, he then lets go of the subject.
"I'm going to go practice at the field," You say. It doesn't make sense to him, since practice is only Fridays, and today it's Saturday, but you had to get away from him. You didn't know what would happen if he caught the virus.
As you walk out the door of your apartment, you know your body is changing already. You knew the only option to avoid infecting anyone else was to go to the school, and hide somewhere. Where would you hide? Maybe the Gym bathrooms? The shed was also quite confined.
