The girls now thought about what to do. "We should probably go find Katie," Mary said. Almost on cue Mary's phone began to beep. Mary quickly checked her phone to view Katie's text message. "I don't think we'll be seeing Katie anytime soon," Mary said with a smile. "She ran into Josh. Their on their way to the park she'll catch up with us later."
"Well if Katie's busy why don't we grab a drink," Claudia said. "It's going to be awhile before I get to have a drink again." The group nodded in agreement as they began to head to a local sports bar inside the mall. As they headed towards the bar they could see Jake heading towards. Seven year old Kellie and Judy were pulling the 21 year old along occasionally glancing up at him with the kind of look school girls have on their first crush. Sammy rushed to her boyfriends aid planting a passionate kiss upon his lips before looking at her diminutive competition. Dejected the two seven year olds hung their heads and slowly began to walk with the others into the bar.
Claudia watched all of this take place and sadly sighed. "I wonder what's it going to be like," she thought. "I've grown so accustomed to returning to adulthood after our weekends together....can I really relive my childhood?" Mika noticed the sorrow on Claudia's face and approached her. "You okay?" She asked. Claudia turned to her and smiled sadly. "How can you do it Mika," Claudia said mournfully. "How can you be a child, do childish things and enjoy it so much knowing what it's like being an adult."
Mika smiled and hugged her guardian. "Claudia," she said. "When I decided to become a kid again I didn't give up who I was. I still have memories of my life, I have my wisdom and intelligence, and I have the experience not to make the same mistakes that I made as a child the first time. It's like the old saying goes, I wish I knew now what I knew then."
"So your saying its a good thing," Claudia answered.
"It's a great thing Claudia," Mika said. "I have my whole life in front of me and the wisdom and experience not to make the same mistakes I did as a child."
Claudia nodded solemnly and looked back towards the magic shop. "It sounds great Mika but you think Merlin will let us keep those things when we return to childhood?"
"I don't see why not," Mika said. "Me, Mary, and Sammy all kept our experiences when Katie changed us. I don't see why it would be different now."
"I hope your right Mika," Claudia said. Mika giggled and playfully punched Claudia in the shoulder. "Will you stop worrying so much," she said. "Let's go enjoy ourselves, tomorrow we start our new lives."
Satisfied for now Claudia entered the bar with her friends ready to enjoy her last evening of adulthood.
