Katie closed her eyes and then she did something impulsive, she kissed Josh. Blinking, the boy looked startled...but then he relaxed as the girl simply let her lips do the talking. The kiss brought that same wonderful warmth to Katie that felt to invigorating.
"So this is what the girls meant....." She thought to herself naively. "This is real love."
The ring seemed to warm itself, drifting to her thoughts. Katie's mind was a jumble of questions and concerns. What would the others think? Should she tell josh about the ring? What about her mother? She'd freak out if she knew about all this.
It was that thought about her mother that the ring latched onto. Everything with the ring had started because Katie's mom had been so controlling, but now since the wishes had begun she had fallen to the same spell as all the other girls. The wizard's spell had not been cast yet, but the RIng knew it would be and that any change to Kelly would no longer cause her to start to disappear once that was done.
Thankfully katie's mind quickly drifted away from that concern and simply to herself and to josh. She wished that she could just enjoy the kiss and being with Josh for tonight. The ring warmed and granted that request. Suddenly, Katie blinked. What had she been thinking of? IT was strange, but ... she'd sworn she'd been worried about something. Was it the upcoming exams? Was it basketball practice with the other girls back at campus? Why had she been worried about such things. She was here with Josh, and that was all that mattered to the college sophomore.
Grinning she closed her eyes again as her college intuitions took ahold.
