You decide to see where the stream goes. Picking a direction, you walk along the bank. The stream has the usual bends, with some parts of the shore that are rocky and others that are grassy. It some places the tree canopy reaches over the water, it other parts the sun shines down without interference except an occasional passing cloud. The one thing that is consistent is the stream maintains a fairly constant width of 5-10 feet wide and looks deep enough to swim.
After walking awhile, the sound of running water starts to get louder. Coming around a bend, you find the stream flows out of a pond at the base of a waterfall. The waterfall is maybe 50 feet tall and a sheer drop over a cliff. You really like this forest - that's why you got a cabin in it - but this is the best place you have found!
You consider what to do next, although going for a swim seems like a really good idea. The waterfall blocks out most of the forest background noise so you look around to ensure you are still alone.
