The room was a large, domed area with runes inscribed on every surface. They greatly resembled Japanese characters, though I did not understand them.
The two stood at each end of the room, and stared intently at one another. They began to mumble, and I felt it as the ritual began working.
Now, I'm not a furry or anything weird like that. Sure, I love Keru, but that's for who shhe is, not what. But if I could experience that first transformation even one more time, I'd do it.
Waves of energy coursed through my skin, as I was filled with a greater terror and wonder than ever before. I looked at my arm, and saw not my skin, but red–brown fur covering it.
My legs began to elongate as I gres taller. The were mainly covered with a black fur. My ears grew, shifting to the top of my head, becoming fox ears.
My nose merged with my mouth, and my new muzzle grew outwards as my tongue grew larger with it. I licked my sharp fangs as my spine shifted and split in nine different directions. Nine great, long, tails burst out from behind me.
I looked around, and what I saw, I saw through new eyes. I understood, I knew, nothing was secret to me anymore. My clothes fell off of my body. They no longer served any purpose.
I could hear something in the back of my head. I ignored it, walking towards the wizards, the men who had given me my form.
Keru.
My thoughts returned to my wife. "It worked." I said to her, unexcitedly.
"Perfect," she replied. "Now, we need to..."
I continued walking towards the men. "Rick, what are you doing."
"Just wait a sec. There's something I've wanted to do for a while now."
I looked at the mortals who stood before me. They cowered in fear, now realizing what they had done. I grabbed one by the collar, and gently lifted him with my newfound strength.
"It would appear you made a slight miscalculation." I said calmly. Lowering him to the ground I continued. "But, since iAM a nine tail, and YOU are just human, it's my job to make sure this never happens again.
My mind returned to Keru. "Sorry, I just really wanted to lift him like that."
"Yeah, great. Listen, the council has granted us full jurisdiction over their fate."
"Really?" I thought, and smirked. "How shall we punish them.?"
