Katie squeezed Mary's shoulder. She looked at her now adorable little sister as the child pouted. "Mary, I'm really sorry. I just wanted to do something fun, to be in charge for the night. I wanted you all to have fun without having to worry. There's been so many changes recently, and you've all enjoyed them. I just kind of ... I guess I got a little carried away."
"Carried away is the least of it," Mary said folding her arms and sticking out her tongue.
"Mary, you're acting childish..." Katie said.
"Takes one to know one!" Mary said.
Katie frowned. She'd wanted to just have fun, and hadn't seen the harm in it. Despite Mary's earlier assertion of remembering her former age, she was still acting like the eight year old she'd become. Katie wondered about this, and the ring warmed in her bellybutton. The ring told her that this was because the two had been so close before, that it had sought to keep that sense of self but it could swiftly be changed.
Katie pondered this possibility. She didn't want to hurt her sister, or any of the girls...
