Maedel’s POV
============
“Aren’t elves, like, really lucky?” Connie raised her snout to look up at me and asked.
“That’s gnomes… Or catfolk… Or something else that isn’t an elf!” I say defensively. First they think I’m a lesbian because I’m an elf, then they think I must be good with a bow and now this! It was just a fluke I made that near impossible shot… and the second one… and just because I know that some women are really attractive and boobs are nice and… I’m not gay!
“No, I’m sure I heard the lucky thing, too.” Sara nodded in agreement. I gritted my teeth.
“It does sound like it could be true.” Andrew thought as he stroked his stubble covered chin.
Gods! Even Andrew was going along with it! I glared at him and pouted.
Andrew continued not noticing my continued glare, “I think gambling is worth a shot even if Maedel isn’t lucky. I’ve won quite a few games of cards on my travels.”
“Plus, I don’t think I’m suited for work. Especially if it’s hardwork,” Sara whined. As expected of a prissy Princess, I suppose.
“It’s settled then. We may as well try our luck,” Hazel decided.
The casino was a loud and noisy place. The sound of Gnome crafted slot machines cranking gears, ringing bells and clatter of coins as they trickled out of the machines filled the air. It was all a bit much for my elven… my pig ears to take in.
Now we just had to decide which games to play.
