Luke stared at the clerk, having trouble comprehending everything that was happening. The costume had turned him into a real moose, and now the shop keeper was some kind of wizard? And a hole in the wall would take him to Canada? It was all overwhelming, but a soft breeze carried a wonderful scent to his massive nostrils that focused his thoughts. The moose drinking in the forest was female. The clerk had said it was rut season. That meant mating season. The enormous sexual equipment he had already tried out once was getting hard again, and Luke felt a strong desire to go to the female. But what would happen then? He did not want to spend the rest of his life as a moose! Even though this body felt amazing. He was huge, stronger than a draft horse, and young and healthy. His nostrils flared, telling him that the female was also young and healthy and in need. Luke tried to speak, to ask questions, but could only manage grunts and the bugling that caught the attention of the female. She wandered closer, her nostrils flaring as she caught his scent. How safe would any moose his size be from hunters, no matter where he went? It was too dangerous. But she smelled so good, and he felt so horny. Luke blinked and looked around. He had moved to the edge of the wall without thinking, and one more step moved his snout through the opening. The air was crisp and cold, and carried the fresh scents of trees, grass, earth, and the female. The clerk had said he would change back in 36 hours. If he wanted to. That gave Luke more confidence - as long as he had control, he could play all he wanted. No way he would prefer being a moose to being human. And the female smelled so good. He shuffled another few steps, the front half of his body now in the woods. The female snuffled in his direction and then squatted her rea to piss. The urine carried a strong scent that aroused Luke even more, and he let moose instincts take over. The opening to the shop vanished the moment his last hoof stepped from floor to ground, but Luke was focused on the female now. She moved away a few steps, but dropped her head and turned away from him in obvious submission. Luke the human did not know how to mount her, but he could feel the raging animal instincts within his brain. All he had to do was embraced the beast. Looking back, he saw that the way to the shop was now gone. He was a moose in the forest. He might as well go for the whole package. Luke opened himself up to the moose mentality, which flowed over his thoughts like warm honey. The instincts and knowledge he wanted took hold, but he was also aware of curious pressure and pulling within his head. The moose identity was much simpler, focused and basic. Luke realized that this was not something being added. Huge chunks of his past were fading, school already lost, the very concept of words and numbers suddenly beyond his comprehension. Luke knew he should be afraid, that this uneven exchange might trap him as an animal forever. Instead, he welcomed the moose, embraced the animal spirit that replaced his human soul, let Luke the human become.... moose. The huge male snuffled the female and bugled again, his shaft erect and swinging between his hind legs. He tested the air for the scent of predators, and finding none, followed the age-old instincts to mate and make more of his kind. The sensations were intense, the actual rut less than a minute, and then the moose dropped his head to graze on the sweet moss with no sentient thought at all.
