"Whoa," Mary exclaimed as she swooned slightly. "That felt really weird." Katie looked at the other girls who were having similar reactions. "Yeah I know," Claudia exclaimed. "My head feels a bit fuzzy." Katie smiled as the forks took in their surroundings. "Hi girls," she said. "How do you feel?"
"Were okay but something feels off," Mika said. "Katie were 40 years old right. I mean I think were forty but you don't look forty."
"Were not forty Mika," Samantha exclaimed. "We all just turned thirty last month." Mary Else looked at the girls before gazing at Katie. "Your both wrong we just turned 25 but I think they have a point Katie we dont look 25 neither do you. Do you know what's going on?"
Katie shook her head no as she tried to keep from smiling. The girls were mentally regressing and trying to rationalize what was going on. Already though they seemed to have forgotten about the ring and Katie's age changing abilities. Katie wanted to hear more and decided to ask a few more questions.
"Soho old are we again?" Katie asked. "Come on Katie," Claudia exclaimed. "You know we just turned 21. We were planning on a night night after spending the day at the beach. That still doesn't explain why we dont look 21...I mean 20...I mean..." Claudia trailed off as she reentered her teens. The group looked around as if trying to make sense of their soundings. After a moment the group turned to Katie and smiled.
"Thanks for letting us sleepover tonight Katie," Claudia said. "You and Kellie are so nice to let us all spend the night after a day at the beach." The other girlsnodded and smiled in agreement to Claudia's statement. "Noproblem girls its always nice to have you all over," Katie said. "By the way how old are we?"
"Uh were 12 you goofball," Mary said. "We've known eachother for like ever. You know sometimes you ask some really weird questions."
Katie smiled at her friends response. The wish had worked to perfection now Katie could enjoy her sleepover without having to worry about people knowing about the ring.
