"Kelly," Katie reached out her hand to touch the girl.
"Don't touch me!" Kelly snapped...staring at her. "This isn't real! I am going to wake up any minute."
"Kelly I.." Katie started. She was on the cusp of telling her, of trying to help her but she just wasn't sure how. She was just a kid in a grown body. "I wish I knew how to take care of her."
As Katie made the wish, she immediately regretted it. In an instant, she felt her mind suddenly flood with information. Thoughts images, memories, dozens of years of knowledge and schooling poured into her brain. She would have screamed for it but something held her in place stock still. It was like she'd lived all those years in an instant, even if she didn't have the memories of them. She had all the practical information, but now her increasingly adult brain was filling to the brim with overcomplicated thoughts the former child one had never even dreamed. She swooned a moment, and Kelly noticed. "Katie?"
"Im...Im ok," Katie said. She looked to the girl and sudden instincts took over. She felt protective of this younger girl. She knew she was her former mother, but now an almost maternal instinct took ahold. "It will be ok, sweetie." Katie found herself saying.
Kelly stared at her, "Katie....this isn't normal, this just isnt! I'm not a kid."
"No your not, your a teenager. You're going through a lot of changes, hun. All girls do at your age." Katie consoled. She now knew these changes, and though her childs mind was grossed by some, the adult was intrigued by others.
"Im not a teenager! Your not an adult! You've got to stop this!" Kelly snapped.
Katie was surprised by the outburst, but even more supervised by her own. "Don't take that tone with me!" Without thinking kit, without really wishing it, Katie suddenly made a mental wish. "If she's going to act like a child, then I wish she was one. Better yet I wish I was her mother also so she would have to mind me."
