After the two started to get over the initial shock of the situation, John asked, "So... what are we going to do?" "I... I got that computer game you were talking about.", Steve replied still a bit baffled at what has actually happened, "Maybe we could try it out.". He loaded up his copy of Rocket Knight Adventurers, and old early 1990s console game. John's eyes widened as he saw it coming up, "You think... I could really be in that game?" His friend clicked on him and dragged him into the game, "Well I suppose there is only one way to find out.".
Instantly John was added into the game. He was in a two dimensional environment with up and down, as well as forwards or backwards. No left and right, except for what seemed to be the layers that represented foreground and background. Somehow he was able to see his environment as if he'd see it from the side, yet it was from his position. He looked at himself. He looked very pixelated, an opossum knight, wearing a shiny blue suit of armour. He tried to turn, which made him flip over instantly. His movements were limited by the ones designed into the game. "Are you alright?", asked Steve. John replied, "I guess so." He was relieved he could at least still talk.
Suddenly a pig solder appeared from the distance, John swung his sword and instantly sliced it apart. Oddly it bounced of and fell into the abyss in front of the front layer.
"Cool man", Steve exclaimed. John meanwhile jumped up using his rocket pack to send him shooting up several times his height, "Well practice makes perfect I have been playing this game for quite some years". Gradually he worked himself through the levels as it was getting late outside. Steve yawned, "Well yo
u seem to be getting along quite well, I think I'm going to go to bed now." John replied, "Sure thing"
as he slew another pig.
