Well, if he was going to be a dog, he might as well go for the whole package. Luke went over to the smaller door. He had to hunch down to fit, but getting through was no real problem. Just before the flap closed, he heard the clerk say "36 hours! Make sure you don't.." But then flap closed off the sound. Luke blinked. he was in the kitchen of a nice-looking house, though it was weird seeing it from this perspective. Before he went any further, he had better find out what he wasn't supposed to do. Turning, he was surprised to find that the pet door was much larger, his size on this side. Pushing the flap, he saw that it led to a large fenced-in back yard. Not the store. Well, he ahd to wait the whole time, he guessed.
"Hamlet!" A young voice came from behind and he felt small arms wrap around his leg. Backing up, he found a little girl, probably no more than 6, beaming at him. "Let's play!" She patted his side and then pushed through the dog door to go outside.
