As soon as he finished wishing I couldn't even say anything as I felt myself walking to Mark's computer and opening the web browser he usually used. I searched for a random picture but what we saw wasn't a still. It as a gif. Or rather one of those fancy new formats with high quality and shit. I guess it still technically counted as a photo as it was essentially a series of photos.
But technicalities wasn't something that I thought about then. Nope. What I thought about was what displayed on the screen. It was an image I would normally love to see. Especially in real life. Perhaps not with my parents around. But definitely not in the context of my situation.
"Emily Bloom?!" I hear Mark exclaim super-excited. "Are you kidding me? I'm going to see Emily Bloom in person?"
I took my eyes off the screen to see the sheer joy on Mark's face. He knew her? Wasn't it meant to be a random picture though?
"Emily who?" I threw at him, the thought that in several second I'd occupy her body still not caught with me. "You know her?"
"Yeah man! She is a..."
But Mark didn't get to finish that sentence because both him and me got yanked out of that moment to enter another one, someplace else...
